A woman who started her skin clinic in a small room is now bringing the “red carpet treatment” to everyone.
Andrea Mappouridis, owner of Revitalaser in Heswall, has worked tirelessly to ensure her clinic offers the “red carpet treatment” received by Hollywood stars and clients of prestigious skin care clinics. Its reputation has attracted esteemed clients including Cheshire Housewives star Dr Hanna Kinsella, who runs a monthly clinic at Revitalaser, as well as celebrities such as Gail Porter and footballers’ wives.
It now possesses the state-of-the-art Derma RF device, designed to address wrinkles, acne, scars, stretch marks, signs of ageing and more. Andrea, 55, said the device has already provided a teenage client with “amazing results”.

Andrea said: “She’s had problems with acne. She had a lot of scarring on her chin. After one treatment, because it is simulating the surface of the skin, you could barely see the scarring.”
The radio frequency device heats up the dermis of the skin and stimulates collagen, which addresses a multitude of skin issues. Using the best technology possible to help people is important to Andrea, who tests all the machines on herself first.
She said: “With us, you're guaranteed safety and reassurance. That person is on the path to be more confident, they're going for promotions, they are going on dates.
“And it's lovely. It's a good moment when you've helped that person go on that path.”
Andrea can empathise with her clients' problems. When she started the business 13 years ago, she had excessive facial hair growth resulting from polycystic ovary syndrome.
Andrea set out on a mission to find the best technology possible to help her and bring it to Wirral. She discovered a lot about Harley Street, a street in Central London renowned for its wealth of private healthcare specialists.
She said: “I took two years researching every machine in the country, all over the place. I found a top machine that Harley Street had. And I thought, 'if they can have it why can't I?' So I invested a lot of money and I made sure I got the machine because I wanted it for myself. [It was] good enough for me, [so] good enough for everyone else.”
Revitalaser also has the Body Ballancer, which helps those struggling with gut or stomach problems by gently eliminating excess fluids from the body. In the past, athletes such as Taekwondo instructor Daley Richardson have used the device.
With many of these machines, Andrea has struck exclusive deals so that Revitalaser are the only clinic in Merseyside to have them available. Andrea said: “It's important to offer that high standard of service. It's a very competitive industry.
“That’s why we secure exclusivity - so when they come to Revitalaser, they get that unique service and unique treatment. We've got a HydraFacial machine - that's from Los Angeles and used by Brad Pitt.”
Despite the technology, the clinic is for everyone. Andrea said: “Everyone gets the red carpet treatment - and we’re lucky to have it in Heswall. We’re always looking to improve and add new treatments.”
She added: “We get all ages. We treat kids with skin tags, warts and verrucas. My oldest lady is 92 - she comes in and has electrolysis on her little chin.”
Andrea is delighted at how far the business has come. She said: “I started off in just one little room with one laser machine by myself and 13 years now I’ve grown the business onto the high street with bigger premises, I’ve got staff. I’ve added on new devices as the business grew.”
Andrea believes she and her clinic can massively improve anyone’s self-esteem. She recalls one woman who came to Revitalaser while preparing for her son’s wedding and was worried about her loose skin.
Andrea said: “She was conscious of her arms. She said, ‘oh god, I can't wear a sleeveless dress for this wedding.’
“She then did a course of radio frequency tightening, she got that dress with no sleeves, and she felt amazing.
“Life is about being happy and healthy. If we can make one client feel that, we’ve achieved a lot. And we’ve spread some kindness to the world and to the Wirral. We spoil our clients, we go the extra mile.”
Some free consultation slots with Dr Hannah Kinsella later this month are still available. Revitalaser can be found at 182A Telegraph Road in Heswall. You can visit Revitalaser website here.
